De geweldige 6 cilinder lijn motor, geblazen door twee turbo’s levert al ruimschoots vermogen (306 pk) en nu komt daar nog 34 pk bij van de electro motor die uitsluitend intern opgeladen wordt, bij afremmen bijvoorbeeld. Deze combinatie zorgt voor een verrassend veelzijdige auto die als brave gezinsauto maar ook als bloedsnelle sportwagen bereden kan worden. De verschillende karakters zijn te schakelen met een knop in de standen eco, comfort, sport en sport +, in de laatste stand wordt tevens de traction control uitgeschakeld en verandert de 3 in een giftige sportwagen waarbij de 6 cilinder het bloedstollende en snerpende geluid maakt wat vergelijkbaar is met de E46 M3. De Active Hybrid is sneller dan de 335i en is bovendien gunstiger in verbruik. In de comfort stand is het een heerlijke, sportieve en compacte BMW waar men 1 op 15 mee kan rijden. Deze Active hybrid is door ons – zonder tussen handel – uit Japan geïmporteerd. De auto is van een lid geweest van de BMW club Osaka. De conditie van binnen en buiten is uitzonderlijk fraai. De auto is volledig omgezet naar Nederlands, ook de meesturende koplampen zijn omgebouwd en geprogrammeerd. Ook de navigatie heeft een update gekregen.
